SIOUX CITY, Iowa — Jim Carlin, the conservative Republican candidate running for U.S. Senate in Iowa, announced on Thursday the endorsement of Iowa state Rep. Samantha Fett, joining state Senators Sandy Salmon, Doug Campbell and Kevin Alons in supporting Carlin’s 2026 campaign for Iowa’s open U.S. Senate seat.
In the endorsement, Fett praised Carlin’s inspirational leadership.
“My journey really began with Jim Carlin walking beside me the entire time and encouraging me. Leaders inspire others to do something that might seem hard or different or out of their comfort zone, and I think that’s what’s important to mention about Jim,” Fett said. “We want them to do the right thing… Those are the leaders we crave. Those are the leaders we trust… it’s my duty to lift up someone like Jim Carlin for U.S. Senate, because he is that leader.”
As her endorsement continued, Fett further emphasized Carlin’s unwavering commitment through his courage and faith.
“History makes it very clear that when people of faith and courage dedicate themselves to freedom and pledge their lives and their fortunes to that cause, nothing can stop them… The left cannot stop us. The media cannot stop us, and they won’t be able to stop Jim Carlin from winning this seat.”
“I’m grateful for Samantha’s genuine endorsement and can’t say enough good things about her,” said Carlin. “She’s one year in as a legislator, and she has already defined herself as a staunch advocate for protecting Iowa’s children. Her commitment to our state and her work with Moms for Liberty will fuel my fight as I take on the bureaucracy in Washington to support President Trump’s America-first agenda.”
